“Geto-san,” Gojo snorts. “So polite towards a guy who deserted.” The bitterness in his voice is so strong that it makes Kento flinch. “No, I wasn’t in love with Suguru. I never loved anyone, at least not yet.” Gojo is wearing his glasses, and he slides it down the bridge of his nose to stare at Kento. “But you, I could love you.”
He says it in a way that is so casual, like he is talking about the meal they just had. It’s not a joke, or teasing – Gojo is serious. Kento should take it as an offense, it almost feels dismissive. Instead, he feels his heart start beating faster, but he has years of concealing his own feelings to let them show now.
“Because I’m so easy to love?” He asks, sarcastic.
“No.” Gojo shakes his head. “I could love you because you would never love me back. And that is what I need.”

Gojo can’t help it; he laughs. With how breathless he is from Nanami still writhing against him to the incredulity of the situation because in what fatal world hanging at the brink of extinction could Nanami not be considered attractive. Could Gojo not want to tell him again and again until his throat runs raw and his breath is ripped from his lungs. To the point where he is gasping for air and the desire to tell Nanami how he sees him every day he gets the chance.

After a moment of silence, Nanami blinked up at him, his eyes for once unobscured by sunglasses. He looked very unimpressed. “Is this supposed to be like one of those movies you made me watch?” he asked. “Because I don’t think you’re cute enough for this move to work.”
Satoru was a goner.
But he must have been cute enough, more than cute enough, because somehow, some way—they ended that night tangled in the fancy sheets of Nanami’s bed.

Summary
To Rei, sleeping was more of a burden than anything.
If it was up to him, he would spend his entire life playing video games throughout the dark hours, a weapon of any sort easily within reach, so that he knows exactly what to do if anything were to happen. He’s grown, he has his own place, his own weapons, and even his own basically-roommate, but whenever the sun disappears, and the shadows grow thicker, it’s as if he was a child again, scared, defenseless, tired.
So, he spends hours, days, weeks, burning the imagine of any video game he can get his hands on into his eyes, ignoring any fatigue and keeping his guard up.
Kazuki, however, seems to have made it his one goal in life to get him to sleep, and if it wasn’t for the annoying warmth in his chest, Rei would’ve kicked the guy out long ago.

Being a single, unbonded alpha unquestionably places one at the top of the societal food chain, offering a veritable smorgasbord of privileges from fast-track promotions to automatic get-out-of-jail-free cards. Unfortunately for Kento, expediting the adoption process is not one of them. In fact, his designation and status seems to only invite further scrutiny.
It doesn’t matter that there’s plenty of evidence that he and Jin have been friends for over a decade, or that the boy himself obviously knows and adores him. The system refuses to simply hand over custody of precocious four year-old Itadori Yuji. Fair enough; Kento can’t blame them for being cautious.
But when a solution presents itself in the form of fiercely independent and uber-rich bachelor Gojo Satoru, well—nobody can blame Kento either for seizing it (him, whatever), with both hands, can they?

Gojo Satoru, a powerful alpha Sentinel and jujutsu sorcerer, doesn't need a Guide, despite what Yaga and the higher-ups think. But it's find a Guide or get pulled from missions. Gojo doesn't expect to find a compatible Guide. He certainly doesn't expect Nanami Kento, who he hasn't seen in eight years, to suddenly enter his life again.
Nanami, a powerful omega Guide, has left both jujutsu and his days as a Guide behind. He's as happy as he can be in his life now, and he doesn't need any interruptions or distractions.
Gojo is both of those things, and Nanami isn't ready for him. But maybe they can help each other, heal each other, and find in one another a way to smooth their jagged, broken edges.

In the end, a part of Gojo truly had died that day — perhaps the most intrinsic part, important facets of his identity suddenly obliterated. A sorcerer’s life is shaped by awful, terrible things, rhythmed by horror and interspersed by sorrow, but the nature of this loss is new. It’s the mourning of the self, the one fatality Gojo was never prepared to grieve.
To witness his hurt is both a privilege and a curse.
(Or, Gojo and Nanami in the wake of war, in a kinder (?) world.)

Gojo Satoru was a very confident man.
He had every right to be, being literally the strongest being in existence. He was the one honored by the heavens, chosen by the gods. People bent to his will without him needing to lift a finger for them to do it. He never had to ask or want for anything; from birth, he just received anything and everything he ever wanted. He was untouchable, literally and figuratively.
