“They treat you horribly,” Touya muttered one day when they were seven, absently playing with Keigo’s toes, endlessly fascinated by the appendages. “You should come with me. I can take you to the sea, you’ll be happier there.”
Keigo’s feathers fluffed up in alarm at the suggestion. “But I’m supposed to fly,” he responded, spreading his wings against the sand on which he laid for emphasis. “Not swim.”
Touya’s brow furrowed, and his fingers stopped wiggling Keigo’s toes for a brief moment. “You can do both.”
“I’ll drown,” Keigo said quietly, staring up at the sky in a despondent manner.
There was silence between them again, and Touya seemed to drop the subject.

There’s only the strangest sense of disconnect in his head, the glaring fact that something is very, very wrong. After all, the person in front of him cannot be the same as the one he saw just the other day, lifting into the air as if he weighed nothing at all, as if his bones were as hollow as a bird’s.

A My Hero Academia Cinderella parody.
After a fire took the life of Touya's mother and burned his body very badly, his father tossed him aside for his younger brother. Enji, their father, was so ashamed of how his eldest looked, that he was no longer considered a member of the family and gave Touya the name, Dabi, to hide his true identity. Touya's younger siblings don't agree with how their father treats Touya, but Touya, not wanting his siblings to be treated like him, to make sure they keep quiet about their true feelings around their father.
Years later, now Dabi, is treated as a maid, rather than a son to Enji. He cooks, cleans, and does whatever else needs to be done. When a letter comes in the mail about a royal ball to find a partner for the prince, Enji jumps at the chance of his daughter being chosen and making powerful connections. And of course, Dabi is not allowed to go, he wouldn't normally want to go, but he is worried about his sister.
And his worries don't go unheard, with the help of a magical being Dabi gets his chance to go to the ball. His goal was to just watch out for his sister, falling for a man with golden eyes was not part of the plan.
