Summary
You have just moved to Beach City for work, bought a condo, and head into town only to discover that what you had initially thought was an unremarkable small town in the state of Delmarva is actually crawling with aliens known to the townies as Crystal Gems. You are both unnerved and fascinated by these strange beings, one orange and red individual who you get off on the wrong foot with in particular. As you become accustomed to life running a mechanic shop in this strange new city, you find yourself learning to get along with this alien race who is an integral part of the culture here. Perhaps love might even be on the horizon? You’ve been burned before, but this strange gem might just be the answer you’re looking for.

Your pursuit of a certain large gem gets you more than tipsy.
A short work, I'll do part 2 if this gets 250 hits.
I'm thinking of just posting all my short pieces in the same entry, with each "chapter" being a different bit.
