A beached whale plagued by evil, musical crabs, covered in layers of icy incomprehension and raw-egg-shame because the sight of a little plastic bag containing the underwear of his (former) best friend and (probable) love of his life had squarely catapulted him out of the tranquil waters of his business life, throwing him onto a sandbank of unfamiliar territory, paralysing him in this undignified, crouched down position in front of her very door.
