After surviving the raid on the druid grove, the party searches for their missing companions over the course of what Shadowheart thinks are four days. On those four mornings, Shadowheart struggles with what she'd nearly done in the cells of the drow as well as Shar's disappointment with her.
The people she barely knows how to trust at all try to help, but can anything or anyone even help?
"How can you say it so easily?" Shadowheart felt anger growing to match the void that gnawed at her. This was far too simple. There had to be a ploy, some lie hidden underneath this miserable fable she was living. "I nearly killed you, and you hardly bat an eyelash over it? Why?"
