Robert has had eating issues since he was a kid, from scavenging for his own food when dad was out late, to finding scraps to eat while he payed for the suit. He didn’t think it could get worse than it already was. He didn’t see a reason to change it.
Eating makes him nauseous.

Summary
He had been missing his husband all day; Whizzer was in the Hamptons for a weekend long wedding photography shoot. Marvin was glad he wasn't too far away, but it was far enough that he had spent the last two days without Whizzer by his side.
Missing his husband had made Marvin. . . desperately needy.OR
Marvin misses Whizzer while he is away for his job, and decides that one phone call late at night wouldn't hurt. Right?
