Summary
Bilbo had always thought he was the problem. Throughout the quest, when Thorin would pull away from their kissing and stop before they went to far, Bilbo had blamed himself. It isn't until the eve of their wedding when Bilbo discovers that what held Thorin back wasn't the tiny hobbit, after all, but something even tinier. Luckily for Thorin, Bilbo loves small things.
~ A one-shot in which Bilbo finds out that Thorin's "dwarfhood" is much smaller than he could've imagined, and he can pleasure his love with extreme ease. ~

Summary
Someone gave me a prompt about how in the original canon, Tolkien had set up a thing for the hobbits that "disappeared" to Bree for a time, then came back with a new spouse or child where there had been none before, and that this happened often enough that it was expected that when a hobbit "disappeared" they would return with a spouse.
Then Bilbo came home with a dwarf.

Summary
When Thorin is injured in the Battle of the Five Armies, Bilbo surprises everyone with his healing abilities.
Then as Erebor starts to rebuild he continues to surprise people with his knowledge and skills. On top of everything else that is occuring there is a dwarf king and a hobbit who might be trying to court one another without the other knowing - while their companions are either helpful or confusingly gleeful.Direct Spoilers for the end of the book though this is an alternate ending.

The topic could not be danced around for any longer, so Hubert bluntly delivered his proposal.
