Her lilting toe falls were so beautiful and so sad. Every feather light touch upon the dark stage sent waves of wonder throughout the audience. But to him, it was just torture. Torture seeing her sweat glistening on her brow and that cold, dead look in her eyes.

Summary
Following the death of one of her best friends in an accident she feels she caused, Annie isolates herself from those closest to her until her agreement to help her friend, Armin, move into his new apartment finally forces her out of her solitude.
