She can see it as he moves through her apartment, gliding through the space with a carelessness that feels nothing like him. It's in the back of her mind, like she's pulling out one of her own memories instead of one of his. Blood. Death. The pain of turning, so rich and vibrant that she aches with it secondhand.
When she turns to him, there's acknowledgment on his face, like the vision she just had was in surround sound, that it was something he was privy to as well.

The Ministry is rife with corruption, the Muggleborn Registration is at peak popularity, and Lucius Malfoy is Minister for Magic. Harry is determined to get to the bottom of it- something has gone wrong here.

A retelling of The Little Mermaid.
It should be strange, moving to the absence of music, but Tom finds himself mesmerised by the gentle rocking motion, the smell of Harry's salt skin, the feeling of Harry's cheek against his own. It's smooth and rough at the same time, young skin and day-old stubble. He turns and drags the point of his nose against it, slow and exploratory. Harry's breath catches, and Tom thinks, idly, that he would like to taste that breath. His eyes slip closed. His nose traces the jut of Harry's jaw down to the heavy, unsteady pulse of his jugular, and he thinks about biting it.
