“Nice to officially meet.” She cleared her throat. “Your mom told me that you did all the sets at your house. They’re really gorgeous.”
“All in a day’s work.” He was trying to sound modest, but it came off cocky and she laughed a bit to herself, his eyes narrowing in on her. “What?”
“Nothing, just.” She laughed a bit. “You know you’re going to beat my dad.”
“I’m not.” He insisted, and she just looked at him for a moment. “Are you accusing me of fraternizing with the enemy?”
“Who said this was fraternizing?” She laughed aloud, and he ducked his head while he laughed, the moment easy between them.
“Talking outside in your front yard probably is the closest thing to betrayal in your father’s eyes.” She snorted a bit, and his eye teeth gleamed in the twinkling of the lights.
“So you’re my enemy?”
“Closest thing to it.”
Or: Padmè gets home for Christmas break to be introduced to a house that finally rivals her family's insane Christmas light extravaganza. It helps a little that the guy who designed the set has blue eyes and nice smile, and the prospects to probably be a good match for someone in their family.

Padmé would laugh at him. His daughter emerged from a gaggle other girls, all dressed in fuzzy jackets and boots over their dance gear. He waved.
