"Reaching out a steady hand, Andrew gently tapped Kevin’s cheek, once, twice. His skin was cold, clammy, painfully so.
Kevin finally struggled to turn his head to meet Andrew’s eyes. The usually intense green was clouded, foggy, distant. Like he was leaving.
'Tell me I’m wrong.' Andrew was curt.

Summary
“You are scaring me, Jeremy.”
There was a scuffle and shuffling, Jean’s voice further away saying something to someone, telling them to do something, breaths more ragged now. “Jeremy, what’s going on?”
“I’m sorry,” Jeremy said again. “I’m sorry, I tried, Jean. I really did. But I’m so tired of trying. I just need it to stop.”
“Oh, oh mon–” Jean swore in French. “You did not. Jeremy, you did not.”
“I’m sorry,” Jeremy whispered. He leaned over so he was lying on the ground now, curling up on his side so the phone was wedged between his ear and the ground. His head felt light, his body numb.
“No,” Jean sobbed. There was a horn somewhere. “No, you did not, Jeremy. Why?”
“I’m so tired,” Jeremy mumbled, his eyes slipping shut. It was all going fuzzy around the edges now. His chest did not feel so tight anymore. “I just wanted to hear your voice one more time.”
“Non, non, keep talking to me, okay? Keep talking, stay awake.”
“Too tired,” Jeremy slurred, his eyes remaining closed.
“You are okay, you are going to be okay.” Distant shouting, another horn.

Summary
“So,” Jeremy says, far too casually considering what his hand is up to, “who do you want to wear the condom?”
Jean blinks.
“It won’t be of much use if I wear it.” He says, a tad more snarky than intended.
Jeremy nuzzles his way around. “So you want me to top?” He clarifies.
They hadn’t discussed it fully when this was scheduled. And it was scheduled; marked on the calendar in red letters as the day they would try for the first time. They both got tested for various STDs and came back clean (shocking, considering the Raven’s intermingling). Jean needed time. Needed to think and plan and prepare for this. But Jeremy switches up expectations anyway, questions things Jean never considered options.
“Would you…let me choose otherwise?” Jean asks. It’s a slow, anxious tone he isn’t used to voicing.

“You don’t have to be here for this,” Jeremy warns. “You can sit in the living room while I take care of him. It may take a few hours though, if you factor in knotting time.”
“I am deeply confused.”
“About what?”
Kevin stares. “You let Jean knot you?”
Jeremy frowns at him. “Yeah. Why wouldn’t I?”
“You’re an alpha.”
“So?”
“Isn’t it—Doesn’t that…feel weird?” Kevin stutters out. He stands near the door looking ready to bolt. Fiddling with his hands, he’s awkward in a way Jeremy hasn’t seen from him before.
