   Summary

   Rule #1: When the nominee takes the role of Judge, the Veil will slowly wipe away their personal history with the soul being judged clean to prevent bias and lingering grudges.

   Dying at the hands of Kira was humiliating enough for L Lawliet, but becoming the afterlife's seemingly eternal Judge is a whole lot worse.
