Summary
This is just your typical telling of the post-canon of them returning to the precinct (Obvi spoilers for Disco Elysium) Focused mainly around Harry needing to reconstruct his life in order to get better- starting at cleaning up his home- debating on getting info about past him in order to fill out the blanks.
I enjoy happy endings where the characters can still be sad, but they're trying. It's bittersweet.
This is going to be a very cathartic writing- for myself at least- because recovery from any form of addiction is a tough and bumpy road.Bookmarked by Molly3224

Captain Vaughn of the trading ship Hyperion had been raised, like many others, to the legends of of an undersea metropolis, where the merpeople lived in a timeless, peaceful utopia- of creatures infinitely more beautiful than they, who craved the hearts of sailors and feared the nets of fishermen- who would whisk a lucky few away to their kingdom beneath the waves to exist in eternal bliss amongst their brethren, welcomed with open hearts and singing laughter.
Judging from the way the merman before him was struggling not to snort, the stories Vaughn grew up with may not have been entirely accurate.

Enjolras waited patiently for Grantaire to acclimate himself to waking, rubbing his temple and grimacing as his eyelids peeled open. A thin line of crimson, blood, had painted a stroke down from the corner of his dry lips. He looked otherwise the same, apart from the previously noted wounds to his front. His numbered three, and wider apart; though upon closer inspection Enjolras noticed a fourth blossoming of red staining his right shin, just beneath his knee. A leg wound was not fatal, but the other shots had surely penetrated his lungs and stomach; the highest probably shattering his collarbone. They could not have survived, thus the obvious conclusion was that they were both dead.
