Two peak lords sat, on either side of a table, one head bowed and tense, the other stunned, mouth agape.
Shen Qingqiu recovered first, raising his fan in the usual attack stance, set to bring it down on Shang Qinghua's head in a flurry of blows and insults. And, as usual, Shang Qinghua reflexively covered his head and squeaked. The fabric of his parted outer and inner robes framed their growing "problem".

What started as an occasional bit of drunken fun turns into a situation neither Shen Qingqiu or Shang Qinghua are equipped to handle. (One of them less so than the other.)

Yunmeng Jiang is housing a retinue from Qinghe, here on diplomatic grounds. Among the people gathered here is Sect Leader Nie. Maybe that’s the reason why Jiang Cheng is restless - he can never keep himself still around that man.
Jiang Cheng feels so stupid to act this way - as if wartime flings aren’t just a thing that happen sometimes - but how can he help it, when the last time they’d met, all those months ago during the Sunshot Campaign, Nie Mingjue had pressed kiss after aching kiss to his mouth, to his neck, to his shoulders?
