Summary
Premise: Keats was seriously injured during the final fight between the bots and Sentre in which when he fell, Keats ended up with broken ribs and a punctured lung. The shock and adrenaline within the moment kept Keats from noticing the severity of his injuries until a few days later. What he thought was a little soreness ended up being something life threatening. They can save his life, but a difficult choice needs to be made. This fic will explore the dynamics between Keats, Herman and Michelle following the events of The Electric State, touching on themes of found family and existentialism.

The way D3rlord3 is subconsciously leaning into the King's touch is an answer all on its own, it doesn't even take omniscience to know that what the King wants isn't all that different from what D3rlord3 wants, though, D3rlord3 keeps his desires encased within a thick, mulish shell.
"Whatever it is you're trying to do—" D3rlord3 tries to pull away but stops, sucking air sharply through his teeth when his head gives a harsh throb "—it's not working. It wont work."
Yet it brought you back here.
OR
D3rlord3 returns to the King because he feels like he should (because deep down he wants to but he’s too full of himself to admit it) and they share a drink.

Summary
After two months of hiding it seems the sun is finally returning to normal and the visitors, unable to handle the temperature change, are rapidly dying off. With it being safe to return outside the homeowner’s guests set out to return to their lives. For the first time since the “apocalypse” he finds himself alone and oddly enough the man finds that he no longer enjoys the solitude that he once craved. Eager for something familiar, he decides to open his home to guests again. The homeowner quickly learns to be careful what you wish for when a familiar pale visitor returns, this time as his new roommate.

A Palegun fic where they end up as roommates. Intruder regresses to a more human-like state as it gets colder, and becomes more monstrous as it warms up (Infection goes dormant and flares up based on temperature).
