Summary
An alternitive end to S2. Gi-hun, in an attempt to stop Jung-bae from getting killed by the Front Man, is shot accidentally instead. In-ho immediately acts to save Gi-hun's life, and as he does, he reflects on Gi-hun's past actions in the game and how they parallel himself.
Starts in Gi-hun's POV and switches to In-ho's. Later in the story, it switches back and forth.

Summary
A surge of desperate, anguished faces poured toward the colored doors, each one racing to secure their own survival. Frozen in place, Gi-Hun watched in stunned silence as the chaos unfolded before him. His breath caught in his throat, the jarring melody of childish music still blaring in his ears.
Two players remained, and it seemed Jung-Bae had already vanished with Jun-Hee. Panic surged through him as his eyes darted around in frantic search. Before he could react, a sharp tug yanked him from his spot and dragged him toward an open door.

Summary
Gi-Hun develops self-harm tendencies, like he hurts himself when more players die in the games, when the O side wins the vote, when he gets overwhelmed by grief and trauma, etc. And Young-il obviously notices and confronts him about it, but Gi-Hun struggles to open up because it's a hard topic for him, something I know from personal experience. So yes, this particular idea intrigued me because I myself started struggling with self-harm from a too young age, and I understand very well the struggle of wishing someone sees your pain and realizes you're screaming for help, but at TBD same time being ashamed and instinctively covering up the evidence

Summary
"At his core, he is a violent man. One that has no problem snapping someone’s neck or pulling the trigger without a second thought. The violence has become an integral part of him, it was deeply rooted in the cells of his body, apathy towards the suffering of others has found home within him from all the games he has been part of.
And yet, when he is looking at the man in front of him, when he raises his hand to his face and brushes his fingertips against his cheekbone, there is no intention of hurting him."
