“You remember the way, right? Gonta is going to fetch us snacks. Saihara-kun doesn’t have to wait.”
Saihara does remember the way, having been here a handful of times already, but crossing through Gokuhara’s large house alone, potentially passing staff—or even worse, Gokuhara’s parents—in the hallway is far more daunting a prospect than Saihara would like. He swallows dryly and nods regardless, taking another jerky step up the stairs.
“I’ll be alright,” Saihara dismisses. “Um—should I just go in…?”
Gokuhara nods. He doesn’t smile, but his harsh gaze softens in that way it sometimes does when he looks at Saihara; a firm, warm hand clasps Saihara’s shoulder and then retracts. “Gonta will only be a minute.”

Saihara and Gokuhara get together to watch Danganronpa as they always do. While the show runs, Saihara reflects.

Kiyo had always been fascinated with soulmates, but he didn't want one. He had already promised his love to someone else. He'd much rather observe things from afar.
Fate had other plans.
(I think soulmate AUs are really interesting with any Korekiyo ship because of his implied abusive backstory, but there just isn't enough Kiyo-centric fics in this world, so I wrote my own.)
