When Khaslana stood against the Trailblazer, he expected to never wake up. He shouldn't have. Waking up afterwards in his bedroom and being told that he's in Era Nova is not what was prophesized, thus he doesn't know how to push through this.
What he does know how to do, however, is fight. As much as the other Chrysos Heirs want him to rest and heal, he can't stand by as what remains of the Dawn Device is corrupted by the Black Tide and their new sky is plunged into eternal night.OR

Phainon blinked.
“Uh… a kitty?” he said, kneeling down in the grass.
And the beast spoke.
“I am not a cat!” the cat said sharply, sitting up just enough to glare at him.
Phainon stared.
“A… talking cat?” he said, incredulously. He leaned a little closer, now able to see the injury more clearly. Blood coated one of the creature’s legs.
“I said I am not a cat,” the creature repeated, its fur bristling irritably.
“You’re adorable,” Phainon remarked, leaning a little closer. “Are you injured?”
After being taken from the humble life he knew and thrust into the imperial palace as a forgotten prince, Phainon Khaslana expects only loneliness, etiquette lessons, and a long list of rules he barely understands. What he does not expect is a foul-tempered talking beast hiding in the palace gardens—one that insists it is definitely not a cat.

Mydei could have never thought that one day, he’d woke up to someone sitting on the edge of his bed looking like he had longed for him. As if this person, with blue eyes as bright as the sky and his hair curled lovingly against his frame swaying with the breeze seeping from the window, had been here the whole time and had been someone that lived his life knowing Mydei. Mydei was mesmerized, he agreed. No, Mydei has no idea who this man is. But that does not explain this stranger looking at him in awe.
“Then, who the fuck—”
“I’m Phainon.” The man even audibly giggles, a melodious tone sung from beneath his chest that seems to be weaved with none other than affection. “I’m your husband. Your husband from the future.”
Mydei thought that fate was playing pranks on him, or someone deliberately hated his guts that they had to pull this stunt to him. No, apparently not. Because when Phainon comes around, everything seems to be in the correct places. Mydei could have sworn, he never perceived blue as the brightest color of all. Yet Phainon swore that every aspect of his life was only ever painted with bright colors by Mydei.
