“Perhaps I saw you boarding the train,” Remus removed his hand from Sirius’ and brought it to his hair, tucking a curl behind the man’s ear. “and perhaps I stood up to intercept you.” Remus’ hand remained on Sirius’ cheek, which was now the shade of a peony, no doubt. “Couldn’t have the crowd crushing a pretty little thing like you? Now could I?”
It takes everything in Sirius not to fall over then and there. Fall to his knees to worship the man in front of him. Perhaps do other things that should not be uttered in the same sentence as a holy act, nor done on public transport.
