Summary
It was already odd that the akademiya had accepted a disabled student as they can be very discriminating. So it was no doubt to him that Al-Haitham must’ve been an incredible person if the akademiya were willing to let him in. However, Cyno couldn’t be bothered by that fact.
The only thing on his mind was how someone could speak without speaking.
Alternatively: Cyno struggles to speak and Al-Haitham teaches him different ways of speaking without needing to speak.

Summary
Anywhere from 6 PM to midnight, Al-Haitham would come home to their shared apartment, trudging through the door and removing his shoes and outer garments with the efficiency of someone following a years old routine.
Kaveh would watch from the door to their kitchen, hand him a plate of food with a smirk that hid actual care, and would sit with him at their dining table, bantering into the wee hours of the morning.
But one evening, Kaveh waits. And Al-Haitham does not return home.
