In the span of a few simple words, Jisung feels the Earth tilt on its axis. Minho’s throat feels clogged up now, no words making it past his lips. There’s pain in his own lungs, taking up the space of all the air. And he wishes he can escape the feeling, but Jisung, for the first time, doesn’t look away from him as he talks, doesn’t try to hide the weight of his words or mask it behind an attempt at humor.
“Minho-ssi,” he near whispers, “do you know how I got injured?”
