Summary
Taehyung was afraid that an abandoned hybrid like Jungkook would be wary or anxious or—standoffish, at the very least.
But the day he brings him back from the hybrid adoption center, Jungkook, with his face redder than Samyang’s Extra Spicy Roasted Chicken Ramen, asks if it would be okay to hold Taehyung’s hand.
And within weeks, Taehyung goes from dragging himself into a cold apartment at the end of a long, hard day, to throwing open the door shouting, “KOO!” and launching himself at his bun.

Jungkook’s mornings start to change just the slightest bit when they’re no longer spent alone, and he finds something (or someone) that is even more beautiful to watch grow.
Or: Jungkook meets shy, nervous Taehyung – slightly broken but with bits of light still shining through the cracks. Over the course of several rainy and sunny days spent together inside the plant shop, Jungkook learns more and more about Taehyung’s past as he slowly opens up. Jungkook starts to fall for him, and once Taehyung sees that sweet, gentle, patient Jungkook could never hurt him, he falls just as easily, finally feeling safe again.

He didn’t know it would come with a smile so adorable that it turned his beloved's lips into a heart shape. He didn’t know it would be a boy in paint-smudged dress pants and paint on his fingertips. And he didn’t know, not yet, that one day, that love would curl up against his chest and call him “Papa Gugu” with a tiny voice.
But even before he met them, Jeongguk firmly believed he was already on his way to find them. Their love didn’t begin with a montage and a romantic song playing in the background, like in the movies. It began with a glance. A viewfinder. A smile. And now it stretched into the future, safely guarded and growing inside of Taehyung's belly.

Summary
After living for nearly two centuries, Taehyung is tired. Every day is the same as the one before, and he went numb long, long ago. Then one day he stumbles upon something that lights a spark in him – dim and small, but nearly blinding after a century of darkness.
Or: On one cold autumn night when Taehyung is out on a walk, he sees a boy curled up asleep on a park bench. Taehyung is not fond of humans, or even other vampires for that matter, so he is confused when he returns to him the next night, and the one after that. His confusion worsens when he finds that he begins to care about the boy, and that his affection – and eventually obsession – for the human only grows. It is not long before those things turn into love when Jungkook becomes his fledgling. And when he has such a sweet, silly fledgling to care for, he no longer feels empty or numb; it is impossible to feel anything but whole again when he is loved so deeply in return.
