Once the payment was secured, Turntapp glanced back at him, struck by the sight despite himself. Soft features, dulled by dirt and exhaustion, yet unmistakably gentle. White hair stirred in the breeze, messy and unbound, catching the light in a way that made his chest tighten. For a fleeting moment, Turntapp thought of angels, or blessings, something touched by Ish’s hand and misplaced in a harsher world.

They had just returned from a secret week-long quest, one that Parrot had insisted on. Seven days risking their lives, gathering some bullshit resource Parrot swore was important, only for him to hand it all out at spawn behind Theo’s back. Something about how it would “save the server.” Theo always found Parrot’s dedication weirdly admirable, somewhat charming. But he’d hoped – just once –that Parrot would think of himself. Think of them. Keep at least some of the profit. Not coming home empty-handed like a martyr. To say Theo was fuming was an understatement, he was livid.
OR
Theo just want's Parrot to think about himself for once and accidentally lets his emotions slip.
