Belba Baggins became intimately acquainted with violence after giving into pressure from family and marrying but only truly gained an understanding of it after killing her husband in self-defense.
Both of which cause her to be shunned and disdained of by most of the Shire.
So when Gandalf mentions an adventure sure to take her far from the bad memories and the gossip of the Shire, she immediately agrees to join him.
How will this changed Belba affect the quest? How will she affect the Company?

All of this author's stories are amazing and really well-thought out. The author does research and thinks about the motivations of each character. The writing style is very mature and captivating. I love re-reading these stories.
