Summary
Staff Sergeant Cameron Cope has served for 10 years and continues to do so. He certainly could be serving cunt more, but he took it upon himself to step in DI Sullivan’s shoes to either deter baby gay Marines, or help them survive if he couldn’t accomplish the former. Visiting home on New Year’s Day, 2000, his car breaks down, and help comes in the form of none other than the aforementioned Sullivan. Both are older, both are wiser, both equally lonely and floundering in life. Thus, things get… complicated.

Summary
Picks up from Sullivan's point of view immediately after he left Cope and Jones to walk back through the swamp to the road.
Liam Robert Sullivan has been a man with a mission and a plan since he was eighteen years old. He hadn't prepared for the arrival of NCIS, he hadn't prepared for the news that Aaron had been arrested, for the bar fight, for Ochoa's death. He hadn't really prepared for what he'd do after he watched Cope and Jones leave to go to the road.
Also follows Cope and the rest of Platoon 2032 from the immediate aftermath - and they're sure as hell not prepared for the announcement that the US is sending troops to Saudi Arabia.
