Within the sound of a snap, the car crashes, lightning strikes, tragedy strikes, and people can’t even realize what’s happened until after the fleeting moment has passed. It was ephemeral, but at the same time, it was lasting, eternal, because the echoes of its consequences would continue to haunt them long after the lightning and its storm had passed. Long after the wreck of the car has been cleaned off the street.
When his quirk first appeared, Midoriya Izuku had learned that all men were not created equal. Some were born into this world lucky and others were born into it unlucky. He also learned that he was one of those born unlucky. It would be hard not to be, considering his quirk was a Jinx.
When the weight of his misfortune became too heavy to carry, Izuku was pushed over the edge. Only for another boy with a different "villain quirk" to pull him back over. Together, the both of them move forward trying to prove to the society that not everything painted in a black light is bad.
The real question is whether or not Izuku can prove that to himself first.

“I’m sorry, Chisaki-sama.” Izuku knew the words he was supposed to say. He repeated them in his head on auto-pilot all the time, every day. He repeated them aloud like a robot, habitual and monotonous. They didn’t mean anything, but he knew if he didn’t say them there would be consequences.
“Keep the bitch quiet.” The door slammed shut.
Izuku gasped the sterile air of their cell into his lungs. Eri was silently sobbing again, her little shoulders shaking against Izuku’s chest. He leaned down to kiss the top of her head. She was only five. She was so little. Today was Eri’s birthday. She was five today. Izuku’s birthday was last month. He had just turned twenty-one. Chisaki had visited them that day, too.

OR: Izuku was kidnapped by Overhaul 7 years ago to use for quirk experiments. He hasn't left the few small rooms he's been allotted since. Katsuki finds him, finally, after searching for 7 years. Adjusting to the outside world isn't easy.

Summary
Hitoshi transferred to Aldera Middle School at the beginning of his second year after an incident at his previous school. He knows better than to hope that this school is better. His transfer doesn't mean anything.
Izuku doesn't think much of the new transfer student. It's not like he's going to be different than any of his classmates. He knows better than to wish for a friend. The other won't want anything to do with him.
This transfer means nothing to either of them. Nothing is going to happen. Nothing is going to come out of this. It's nothing special after all.

Shame.
What an inconsequential word. It rolled off the tongue with little effort. Izuku had heard all possible thoughts involving shame, but he'd never felt shame. He's never been ashamed of himself. Izuku had never once bothered to let a silly thing like shame sink into his bones. He couldn't afford it. Survival was paramount, and sometimes, one had to do many shameful things to get by when life only handed you heartache and hatred.
There was no time to worry about the shame of all he'd had to do just to get through another day,
even if Izuku knew in the depths of his aching chest,
he was lying to himself.

OR: Izuku is saved from the roof by Overhaul, instead of meeting All Might after the Sludge Villain incident. His life takes a very different turn.
