At Reo’s school, the more you do, the higher chances you'll be able to get scholarships. You can even get a scholarship for being in the bathroom the longest! Probably. Maybe. Okay, it's not that exaggerated, but if Reo is able to add “Gaming club” onto his college resume for extracurricular activities, he will.
Yes, he's already in eleven other groups, but he wants to hit the max. The max of twelve clubs.
Looking up at the board at the start of the school year, and again, no soccer. Reo grunts to himself as his eyes lower down to a crumpled up paper. “Gaming club, after school everyday.”At first, Reo didn't think he would join an obscure group like that, he needed something actually productive. But with the deadline of elective picking almost coming to a halt, he got desperate. Real desperate.
So desperate, he made a promise.

“You’re not helping.” Reo sulked, he buried his face into his hands.

Reo couldn’t forget it. He could never forget, especially with Chigiri laughing in his face about it.
It was all because of one mistake Reo made earlier today when attempting to confess to Nagi Seishiro.

“It’s called a kabedon,” Chigiri says unhelpfully. Reo’s mouth flaps open and closed. Chigiri sighs. “Why are you so scandalized by this? I’ve seen you not even flinch at stuff way more scandalous than this.”
“Because it’s Nagi,” Reo stresses. “Give—give me the phone back—” He scrabbles for the phone in Chigiri’s hands, and once he’s got a hold of it, he brings it close to his face so that his nose nearly touches the screen. “And we’re kissing?”
