Summary
Jinx had slipped, or well Sevika had allowed a slip (or so she believes) that made her get arrested by enforcers and sent to Stillwater hold. That would have been fine if she didn't find the dead there, it was even worse when it was quickly apparent that her Sister has a major vendetta against anything Silco related. Confused, and slightly afraid, Jinx does not reveal her true identity to Vi in hopes of getting Vi to like the new her so the truth wouldn't be so hard. Of course fate had other plans when feelings that shouldn't exist with siblings began to develop.
Or
Jinx is sent to Stillwater and encounters Vi, her fear of Vi not accepting her leads her to hide her identity, and to complicate things the two develop feelings for each other.

Vi slides onto the seat next to her that's not occupied by her braids like she didn't notice the fuck off vibes the woman is giving off. Pretty Girl raises her head and pins her in place with an ice-cold stare, then sees who it is and her face changes, becoming interested again.
Her painted-purple lips stretch in a crooked smile. "Back so soon?"
"You know, I'm a little out of touch…" Vi starts saying, a cocky grin on her face. "But I'm pretty sure buying someone a drink means you're flirting with them. Are you? Flirting with me?"
...
AU. Vi runs into an incredibly hot (and strangely familiar) masked stranger while at Babbette's brothel. Since Babbette already assured her Powder is alive and safe somewhere, she decides to indulge a single moment of fun before she goes off looking for her sister and risking her life against Silco's goons.

Summary
It was one thing, to be missing Powder from miles and miles away, it was another to stand right across from her and still feel just as distant.
Powder had been frozen for so long in her memory, lodged in the time bubble Vi had set for her, still, happy, and perfect. It had been easy to keep her that way. It was easy to pretend that her sister was still sitting on the floor, toying with her tools and waiting for Vi to come home.
But reality was very different.
Powder hadn't stayed still and waited happily on the floor of their room. Powder had gotten angry, and hurt, she had cried, and ran into the night, and she had met people, and done things. She had grown up.
And Vi had missed it.

It’s all anyone can talk about lately. Who’ll be an alpha, who’ll be an omega, which pairs will hook up. The summer season of their 18th year is usually the time people start presenting, poor Vander might have to deal with three of his kids in rut or heat at once.
The whole thing made Vi uncomfortable in a way that was hard to articulate. Most people were excited to have that scent that marked them as adults, others were ready to mate and settle down, still others were hoping their genera would boost their social status. Whatever happened, things would change.
