Summary
—"One thing all designations share is the characteristic called "The Entity." It's a subconscious product of the wolf each person carries in their DNA. Dormant most of the time, this entity awakens at very specific times, primarily when the person is in grave danger or when is going against all their instincts. In very few documented cases, the entity took on a life of its own and taking over the person's body, leaving the human consciousness in the background, awake and witnessing everything without being able to intervene. When this happens, the phenomenon is called "Fronting" and the entity is called The Wolf."—
Shen Wenlang's wolf is tired of his idiot human. For the sake of him and his mate, he has no choice but to take possession of the body until everything is resolved.

“Mr. Gao. The results indicate that you have a variation of the pheromonal gland atrophy syndrome. From your medical record, I see that you have experience with this disorder, as your sister has suffered from one of these variants.”
Gao Tu nodded slightly.
“There are many forms of this syndrome, but all are classified according to the severity of the case. There are five stages. Your sister suffered from the third.” The doctor paused and took a breath before continuing. “You have grade 5, the most serious of all.”
He felt his eyes water, but he nodded to the doctor to continue.
“The variant of the syndrome you have is very unique; there have only been four documented cases so far. It develops when a bond between destined mates abruptly ends. In all documented cases, each omega lost their alpha in a fatal way. Hence the common name for this gland dysfunction, The Lost Mate Syndrome.”

Gao Tu needs Shen Wenlang to survive, literally. The alpha is more than happy to be at the Omega's service. That doesn't mean Wenlang won't get a good scolding from her future sister-in-law.

"I'm sorry." The whispered call played on Wenlang’s mind. He knew that voice. ...He felt the softest press of lips against his cheek. It lasted not even a full second before they pulled away as if burned, yet still so close.
“I’m so sorry.” Wenlang felt his heart stop, frozen in place as he managed to put a name to that voice. His voice.Or rather the story of Wenlang finding out it was Gao Tu that night at X-Hotel and the slightly painful story of how he goes about getting that little omega to confess to him what he is.
