Sam thought things were finally looking up, Bucky was healing, finding his place in Louisiana, and for the first time in years, he wasn’t carrying the weight of the past alone. But then, the news breaks: James Buchanan Barnes has been found dead in a motel room, an apparent suicide. The world mourns, and Sam buries his best friend.
Except now Torres is at his door with irrefutable proof that something isn’t right. The reports don’t add up. But when Sam turns to his sister for support, Sarah only sees a grieving man in denial, desperate for a truth that isn’t there.
So what the hell is Sam supposed to do? Follow the trail of impossible clues and risk breaking himself apart for nothing? Or trust his gut, trust Bucky, and find out what really happened?
Because if Torres is right, then Bucky is out there somewhere. And whatever happened to him…it might be even worse than death.

Jason Todd wakes up six feet under ground. Then he starts to remember how he got there. Jason escapes his coffin and remembers the words said in his fight with Bruce.
"I'm not your father Jason, I don't need a teenage rebellion from you."
Instead of searching out Bruce on his way out of the cemetery Jason wanders around Gotham in a catatonic-like state.
Years later, and with help from Talia, he manages to get into med school and start his residency. Unfortunately for him the only place that he never wanted to return to is the one place that still has available spaces to take on the beginners... and Bruce Wayne was going to give a speech to the new residents in the hospital that very day.

"Got it," Neil whispered, trying to absorb Andrew’s firmness; trying to believe in that absurd and ridiculous possibility. He closed his eyes for a moment, taking a deep breath, letting the feeling of Andrew’s touch anchor him in reality. "I trust you. I’ll do what you said."
