his head was spinning and time was slowing down every second. and he was pretty sure he hadn't had that much alcohol. he felt his eyelids getting heavy, and then a sudden cold chill crawling down his spine, shaking him awake. his heartbeat was echoing so loud in his ears he could swear it was soaking up the loud music blasting from the next room.
he really was having fun that night. smoking some cigarettes, kissing a stranger or two, downing beers one by one, watching angsty teenagers choke on their own vomit and then walk out the bathroom perfectly fine just to have another drink and continue this hopeless vicious circle. that’s what they call fun, right? that’s what kids his age did for fun?

It’s like Travis was waiting to antagonize him.
The first problem arose when Sal was trying to set up one of the tents. He’d been just about done when the whole thing suddenly collapsed.
He looked over to see a smirking Travis holding one of the stakes and a hammer. “Oops, was this yours?” He asked innocently.
“Seriously?” Sal huffed. “Don’t you have anything better to do? Like setting up your own tent?”
“I am setting up my tent, but I was short a stake.”
OR: The Sally Face gang goes camping and ends up at the same campsite as Travis and his friends. It goes about as well as expected.
OR OR: The only way Travis knows how to get Sal's attention is to bully him. It takes an argument, an accidental confession and falling down a cliff for him to learn all he had to do to get Sal to hang out with him was to ask.
