He paused as if to reckon the time, but he knew very well what it was, and how she would react. “Six thirty.”
“Then you need lunch even more than I do.”
“I assure you, my queen, I am fine.” And he was. He would find something to eat after their discussion, as he always did. He was used to taking his meals at odd times.
“I will only eat if you join me,” said Ella flatly.
Tadius studied her face, then bowed. “I will arrange it.”
