Her tiny body wanted to weep, cry, wail for her Bruce as he gently pulled her into his arms. Hot tears cooled on her cheeks. She wanted to tell him everything, how much she missed him even though she'd never met him before, even though he had no idea who she was.
"Mb-bh—" she tried, as Batman settled her against his chest, wrapping her in the cape. Her lips felt unwieldy, thick and numb. "Bhu— brr—"
But she'd practiced. She'd practiced his name so many times, every night since she fled the man who'd created her, since she saw the life she once had will have flash through her mind as though remembering a long, long dream. But it wasn't a dream. It was her past, and also her future.
She refused to wait for it.

Summary
Disappearances keep rising, not just in Gotham, but in Metropolis and Central City and... All across the globe. The Justice League form a plan, but Superman keeps getting distracted. The sounds of cries for help are overwhelming and never-ending.
In Gotham, Red Hood and Nightwing team up after some radio silence and choose to investigate some store with way too high electricity bills for the area, and hear a woman screaming.
Huh... The pirate hat that is halfway through the ground is just a joke, right?
And when two of his children go missing, and when Superman stops responding to comms, Batman is left to find the pieces. So much for being the "World's greatest detective", because there's no traces of anything!
... Aside for some new sketchy MRI company starting to open in more and more buildings globally. But that's probably nothing, right?

"What the hell happened? I'm fuckin' tiny!" All Jason had on was his Wonder Woman shirt from earlier, and that was just barely staying on. Jason slumped against the wall, feeling the frustration bubble in his chest. He was tiny, injured, confused, nearly naked, and alone in an alley. This wasn't good.
"I found him!" a voice shouted at the same time as light showered over Jason from above. He looked up quickly in shock. He knew that voice.
'You have got to be kidding me.' Jason thought. The light lowered slightly and he saw the smiling face of the one and only Officer Dick Grayson above him.

🏆⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🏆The first fic I ever bookmarked, ITS SO GOOD AND AN AMAZING CHARACTER STUDY, the author is slow but that is a symptom of true quality work that you don’t get in de-aging fics… seriously I periodically go thru the de-aging tag and you don’t find many good ones.
Below is my philosophizing:
It’s the story I’ve always wanted: Jason Peter Todd (or really any batfam) the idea as a character analyzed. Jason’s character is a hurt kid. At the end of the day, he is a kid that had every single adult that should have cared about him failed him. His father was never good and abandoned him. His biological mother never “knew” him before abandoning him. Katherine adored and protected him as best she could but ultimately succumbed to multiple human failures abandoning him by dying. Jason at his core just wants be good tp his people and help in a world he knows is hard.
Bruce saw enough of Jason to give him Robin as a way to channel that. Helping others the way no one helped him.
Dick as barely adult allowed his bad blood with Bruce to hurt his relationship with what should have been a brother. A brother he didn’t actually gain until only shortly before Jason’s death.
And when Jason died and came back to the joker alive and Bruce “failing” to kill the joker> Jason took this as abandoning him.
Bruce can’t see passed his failure in Jason to appreciate that Jason hasn’t changed he is still this sweet good natured boy the world was unkind to.

And that’s why I need fan fic writers to be paid full time wages. Author if ya reading this I am sorry it’s not for you I see this as more of a formal review from a magazine idk.This is such a sweet story and I hope it updates and completes in a way that the author is happy with.
