He's been stuck with Grox for a few days now, and he was expecting the cycle of installation and abandonment to continue again.
However, Verity soon has it revealed to him that Mob ISN'T actually dead, but that he and Twixxel are both perfectly alive.Verity is dazed to see that it's true, but something is off, and he slowly begins to realize that all their memory of him has been wiped entirely.

The only thing standing between Dave, Aradia, and Jake and their masters is their mandatory fieldwork. When Aradia has the brilliant idea to find the Temple of the Signless, it seems like an low-effort way to get those fancy initials slapped onto the end of their names.
One tripwire of a prophecy later, and the Signless returns. Which doesn't look great for their easy final project. In fact, things only get more complicated from there.

Nothing ever happens in a small town, but one disturbance can spiral, leaving what once was, in ruin. Karkat Vantas happened to live in a town like such, and he hated it more than anything that had ever come across him. He didnt dream of much more than a simple life, but the same thing would become boring to anybody. Him and his misfit group of friends will come across an oppurtunity when something dear to them goes missing, the question is will they look for it, or let it linger?
Alternatively : Dave Strider goes missing in the early nineteen eighties, and Karkat Vantas is the only one who seems to care about getting to the bottom of it.
