He expects to be put in a closet with some rando that he doesn’t talk to, but gets blindsided when his crush- none other than Yamada Hizashi -spins the bottle and it lands on him.

Summary
Eddie Munson and Steve Harrington were in love. They lived together with their best friend Robin for two years. When Robin told the couple that she was planning on moving to New York with her girlfriend and offered for the boys to join them, Steve was beyond ecstatic. Eddie was not. Two years of healthy, happy relationship were thrown out the window by pointless fighting, rash decisions, and underlying issues.
Eight months after the big breakup, Steve learns from his mother that his dad is dead. Steve has to return to Hawkins for the sake of his mom. He wrestles with the guilt of being back in the town where he broke Eddies heart.
Eddie lives alone with his cat, and is falling apart at the seams. He doesnt know what he wants from life or if he loves or hates his ex boyfriend. Eddie is busy trying to kick bad habits and fix himself on his own terms when the love of his life comes back to town to throw a wrench in it.

Summary
The events of the last few years of his life have left Steve Harrington a wreck. He feels as alone in life as he imagines he would in death. Things begin to change after hes rescued from a drunken stupor by sort-of-friend Eddie Munson.
Eddie is a soft dom at heart, and ends up unknowingly influencing Harrington to take better care of himself, do things he enjoys. Steve doesnt understand the calm and the peace he begins to feel around Eddie, or his apparent need to make Eddie proud.
When Eddie realizes the influence hes had on Steves life he battles with weather or not its right of him to continue treating his friend as a submissive in need of guidance. Eddie decides to lay it all out for Steve, and confesse his true feelings for him.
Or
Steve Harrington discovers he's a sub and ALSO in love with Eddie Munson after he helps get Steves life back to a happy, healthy space. The tags dont make sense now bc you have to wait for it.

It was the reason why despite everything, he had turned out normal, despite all of life's attempts to turn him into something other than a popular somewhat dim-witted jock.And then one day he’d walked into the Byers household and been slapped in the face with the most godawful aura he'd ever experienced in his life, and he just knew he wasn’t going to be coming back from this.

Steve has secret powers, which isn't really an issue except he's now dealing with his unexpected feelings(tm) for one Eddie Munson and suddenly things just got a lot more complicated. Also, he has the nasty habit of blowing shit up when he gets stressed which makes the whole 'secret' part of his powers hard.
The situation is totally and completely under his control, he just has to plan this stupid 'We saved the world (again)' party and he should be fine.
