“No, I heard that. But–” Wei Ying glances at the extremely pretty man, who’s just staring at him, completely still. His empty hands hover in the air. “I don’t need anyone to take care of me. I just wanna go home."
“You are going home,” Yanli reaches over and tucks his hair behind his ear, giving him a tiny smile. “Don’t worry. Just a few more scans, and then Lan Zhan can take you back."
“Who’s Lan Zhan?” he asks.
The pretty man by his side inhales so sharply Wei Ying feels the air get sucked out of the room.

Wei Ying gets in a traffic accident and loses six years of his memories, including meeting and marrying the love of his life. This is the story of how he falls back in love with Lan Zhan: quickly, and inevitably.

“Jie? Sorry, I just missed your first call, what’s up?”
He sounds way too casual for having abandoned their toddler cousin at daycare today. Wen Qing is trying not to freak out.
“Why didn’t you pick up A-Yuan today?” Wen Qing perches her phone between her ear and her shoulder. “I’m at the hospital Wen Ning, I have been for hours. Did the daycare call? Who picked up A-Yuan today?”
“You're still at the hospital? And no? Maybe Wei Ying picked him up.”
Wen Qing’s rapid thoughts come to a screeching halt.
After going missing for a year, a worse-for-wear Wei Ying shows up on Wen Qing's doorstep. She makes him stay, even though it adds a mentally ill young man to her odd mix of family. She doesn't regret it, but she still gets scared when Wei Ying accidentally becomes A-Yuan's caretaker for the night when he is not able to handle the task. Or so she thinks.
