Summary
Ryou and Bakura's story. Post-series (DSOD non-canon).
Eight years ago, the doors to the afterlife were used as a seal to lock the darkness of the Shadow Realm away once and for all. Ryou - despite everything he'd endured over the years - secretly saved Bakura from being banished forever. It should have been a fresh start. And, for a time, it was. When a chance encounter shatters Bakura’s carefully constructed routine, he is forced to ask himself how much he believes in coincidence as he weighs the blood debt on his soul. Yugi Muto has disappeared without a trace. A Cult claims to be working in Bakura's interest, though his instincts scream otherwise. Unlikely deals are struck as the past comes back bearing teeth. Every step forward feels like a trap laid by an enemy that has been watching since the beginning.
