Pro Hero Mirko thought they’d had a grasp on who the villain Tomura Shigaraki was, and that monster was so very far from the person their ridiculous gut feeling told them he was or could be - that maybe he was actually some familiar ghost conjured from a long locked away shared past or a barely out of reach mirage of some shared future vision…
One day the pair might catch themselves thinking that if they’d both let go when they said they would, things could’ve turned out a hell of a lot differently, but Rumi couldn’t let things turn out differently and they could see he couldn’t either.
A Dustbunny story set within the canon timeline and events - with just a little creative wiggle room of course!

The room smelled of campfires and caramel. Sweet with an edge of danger.
Somehow, the glare he was receiving from the omega laying in the sheets, body completely bare save for the white sheets pooling at his waist and hiding his own arousal, did nothing but spike Shouto’s own.
“Bastard,” the blond king tsked. Despite his appearance, the sweet, tantalizing scent coming off of him, he scowled, expression menacing. “Can’t believe I have to mate some fucking brat that rides his dad’s coattails.”
Shouto didn’t speak for a second. His tongue darted out, wetting his lips. At this point, the prince could practically hear his own heartbeat roaring in his ears, his instincts telling him to throw himself over the omega on the bed.
Instead, he simply chose to respond to the other.
“I hate my father. Far more than you may realize. I do not want to be here anymore than you do,” his voice was a bit strained, never breaking eye contact with those glowing red eyes that were practically taunting him at that point.
The king on his bed actually laughed at him. “Yeah, that’s why you’re still doing his damn bidding, right? Why not force him off the throne, then? Take it for yourself."

This was ridiculous. Shouto would prefer to have worked alone. After all, he had been playing longer than most of those here.
Music theory students trickled in from the hallway followed by the famed critic Aizawa Shouta. There were two benefits to their partner class being Aizawa’s. First: Denki’s boyfriend was in that class and was the teacher’s protégé. Second: Shouto had taken classes with him in the past, back when he’d been more curious about the inner workings of music and the world beyond performance. Now he simply wanted to skate by continuing to play by choice, not at the whim of others.
There were no announcements, no formalities, and not a single opportunity for refusal regarding their partners. It seemed the universe really had it out for Shouto this week and not in a good way.

Shouto had proposed to Katsuki abour three months ago, the engagement party was amazing, it was so wonderful getting to see all their friends again after some time. Not to say they don't get to regularly, but with their line of work, finding free time was very hard.

In theory, Shouto was supposed to be happy about becoming number one, right?
He wasn’t exactly sure why the win bothered him so much until he saw the smug pride on his father’s face. Sure, Enji had gotten better over the years, but bitterness struck through Shouto in an instant. It didn’t feel like his win as much as it felt like his father’s. In the end, he did exactly what his father wanted him to do, and it ate him up more than he wanted to admit.
Was it wrong for him to want a lower ranking?
TL;DR Shouto thinks it's a great idea to fake date Katsuki so he can lower his fan popularity and get a lower ranking.
