And now that’s all she craves. The anonymity of the Stop-N-Go Mart, the gas station on the corner of Main and Third where she used to bluff her way into buying smokes, the dirty bars that reek of stale cigarettes and sweat, the fields — open, expansive, as far as the eye can see and farther still — barren and tilled, slumbering.

The newly married Lyanna is parted from a husband she barely knows and throw into a tumultuous existence, put in a position she had not considered before with the birth of a child.
The eventual return on her husband brings joy and torment in equal measure, for war changes men and undoubtedly it changes the father of her child.
