Xia Fei was decidedly frustrated at this development, more so with his own reaction to it. He keeps glancing over to him, admiring in some way he couldn’t describe. Though, everytime he catches himself staring with a bit too much interest in more than just work chatter, the other would open his mouth and dissolve any of that attraction.. Or so Xia Fei convinced himself. That wasn’t working this time, maybe it was the alcohol in his system or Liu Xiao’s or something about how he was speaking but even his voice, his words, didn't get rid of that feeling

He watched an arm move up, with something that reflected the light from the moon in a beautiful show. The white light, pure and soft, fell away as the object dropped suddenly. Swung by an angry man, which harnessed more strength in the movement than Xia Fei likely would have dealt with sober, but Xia Fei couldn’t even move from even if he chose to in his state.
Glass shattered around him, falling like fresh snow in front of his eyes.

If the couch didn’t feel real, the pain did. There was not a mark on his body that would cause it, but the pain hadn’t left since he got back. As if he’d suffered the same fate in his own body, not the body of whoever he had possessed. It didn’t matter why though, all that mattered was it hurt. A lot.
