“The things I say aren’t useless.” You crossed your arms, slightly glaring at him.
“You just tried to apply aspects from a video game into real life,” he replied, shrugging. “Seems pretty useless to me.”
“It isn’t if that information is accurate,” you protested. “Nothing I said was false.”
He gave you an unimpressed stare.
“Fine.” you grit your teeth, giving him a spiteful look. “After this game, I’ll prove to you that I was right. Just so that I can shove that smug look right off of your face.”
That earned you yet another annoying smirk. “How, by shooting me?”

Summary
Life hadn't really gone how you'd planned it to. As a kid, you vowed not to end up like your parents- killing yourself every day at some random desk job to make money. Sure, some people were fine with that.
But you weren't.
But low and behold, life's a bitch, and you ended up working for the same company as your parents. One day, you decided to open up your last letter given to you by your grandfather, and discover that your inheritance was waiting for you in a place known as Pelican Town. Desperate to escape your hellish job, you pack your bags and head to your new home, hoping to find the one thing your life had deprived you of.
You didn't know what your new town had in store for you, but you did know one thing- that the local emo guy was hot, and that your poor heart seemed like it was going to explode in his presence. After some prodding from friends, you begin to wonder if this young man held the answer to your unanswered question: what is happiness?
