It didn’t matter what that meant. He owed nothing to these people, and he knew that.
“I’m pretty sure I’d remember if I agreed to owe someone anything.”
“Orion,” Tom murmured. Orion stood from his place on the settee and took a deep breath.
“First day I spelled your bedding together, when you didn’t. You left your trunk open, and even then you were almost late to breakfast—”
“Yes, thank you Orion, I appreciate all that, but you didn’t have to do it,” Harry interjected.
“On the contrary, Slytherin has standards to uphold,” Tom pulled out his wand in a slender hand with fingers that wouldn’t have been out of place on a pianist. “Within the house, there is much order to maintain. We have a system that works effectively if you work with it. Simply do as you are supposed to do as a Pureblooded Slytherin and an Heir to a noble house and there will be no issues. But persist in demonstrating that you are unworthy, force your classmates to pick up the slack for you, and well, Harry, you will be in debt for your mistakes.”

Summary
12 years after the defeat of Voldemort, in a drunken stupor, Harry Potter passes out only to wake up in 1931, confused, lost, and still very much drunk. He eventually pulls himself together enough to get an alias and to start thinking about his future seriously.
Somehow though, he ends up with the Elder Wand that should have been with Grindelwald and then finds himself taking in Tom Riddle. He had not counted to be a witness to a defenseless Riddle in the middle of an exorcism or his reaction when he did. Needless to say, his day had been busy and it's only going to get worse from there he suspects.

Summary

Ed wants to believe Stede when he says he'll never leave again. So, he makes a surprise visit to Bridgetown, Barbados under an assumed name to reassure himself with a look at the life Stede left behind.
It's not as reassuring as he'd hoped.
