"Khun Nueng!" Palm calls out to him as he's dragged into the room, his hands tied in front of his body with rope.
"Palm!" The name is ripped from his chest before he has the chance to stifle his cry. Big mistake. Kit's expression turns thoughtful as he looks from one boy to the other.
Nuengdiao knows the exact moment he figures it out. The smirk is just too knowing. Kit's body loses most of its tension. He's confident. Unbothered. He had been playing with half a deck only moments ago, but now he has the full thing - leverage.
If there's one thing for which Nuengdiao would give up the world, it's Palm.
And now Kit knows.

"So defiant now," the captain murmured. His warm breath rustled through Phuwin's bangs, gently caressing the top of his face. "Almost as if you have something to hide."
Then, warm, calloused fingers hooked beneath Phuwin's chin. Phuwin tried to resist, digging his boots into the deck, but the touch was inescapable; he had no leverage. His head was forced back, his face tilted up into the bright afternoon sun.
The world around him shrank to the dark, unreadable eyes boring into his. Phuwin had seen the wanted posters. He'd seen the captain's sharp jawline and fierce gaze stare out at him from weathered parchment. If encountered, run, officers and midshipmen alike had whispered in the halls of the Naval headquarters. Even Phuwin's mentor had warned him of the pirate's ruthlessness.

"You're going to regret this," he says quietly. "You'll regret ever finding this place."
"Maybe." Palm takes a step back to the shore, towards his waiting boots. "But I'm still coming back."
He pulls on his boots quickly, not taking his eyes off the man. The man doesn't move. He simply watches with narrowed eyes and a downturned mouth that betrays nothing.
Palm turns to leave, but a sudden thought gives him pause. "What's your name?"
The man's mouth opens, but no sound comes out. He huffs and offers Palm a shrug.
"You can't tell me."
The man shakes his head. "It's part of the," he gestures to the lake helplessly, "thing."
Palm grins slightly despite himself. The man's frustration is... cute, actually. Not that he'd say it aloud. He doesn't think the man would appreciate the sentiment.
"But my friends call me Swan."

Nueng is a cursed prince, Palm is a royal guard trying to find his place in a castle where he doesn't belong, Chopper is suspicious of his father, and Ben is just a water nymph along for the ride.Or, the Swan Lake/Royalty AU no one asked for, but I wanted to write.

"Princess," he said as he looked Phuwin up and down with a critical eye. "I thought you'd given up on little ol' me, but here you are - and all the way in the Outer Rim, too." He chuckled. "I can't believe you flew all the way out here just for a fancy rock."
Phuwin frowned. "It's Master Phuwin, or Master Jedi," he corrected, no longer bothered by the absurdity of the situation. It was Pond; absurdity seemed to follow him like a magnet. "And you're currently surrounded."
Pond looked around with mock surprise and gasped dramatically. "So I am!" He grinned once more. "But you're going to help me with that, aren't you?"

Phuwin has finally tracked the JASP.ER to a moon in the Outer Rim. Unfortunately, Fourth decides to tag along. Their mission ends up in a firefight no one was expecting.

Phum wouldn't ever admit it out loud, but Peem's words bothered him.
Arguably, he had options: he could get over himself and just tell Peem about his furry problem (and risk losing Peem forever, as if that was acceptable). Or he could pretend like Khaophan was super smart and could totally understand human speech.
Or he could walk away, which was entirely out of the question.
So, buttons it was.

"That's a very specific description for someone who's just a pilot," Phuwin muttered, but Pond was already sauntering away.

Phuwin,
Following our discussion yesterday regarding "protocol adherence" and your recent conduct during the department briefing, the administration has decided a change in your current position is necessary.
Effective immediately, you are reassigned to the Night Shift (18:00 - 06:00) for the duration of two months, after which you will return to your current duties.

Pond Naravit is the only remaining astronaut aboard the T-1 Space Station. His mission is supposed to last for six more months.
Phuwin is a communications engineer exiled to the Night Shift after a department meeting gone wrong. His only job for the next two months is to maintain an already tenuous thread between Pond Naravit and Earth.
As the station falls apart, their nightly connection becomes the only thing keeping them grounded. But when disaster strikes the T-1 and the government moves to bury the evidence, Phuwin must risk his life and his sanity to prove that the silence from above isn't a death sentence. Pond is still waiting to come home.
