Hurt/Comfort. Reading this story, my heart kept breaking into little pieces as Cortana wished to be able to touch Master Chief. And while the ending was heartbreaking, it was also heartwarming.

Backstory for Esme and Ridcully. You can see the seeds of Granny in the young Esme so well. The proposal could break your heart, but the pragmaticism of the two involved charcters is just so spot on, you find yourself happy that it worked out the way that it did. And Gytha Ogg steals the show at the end :D

Summary
This is an unauthorized sequel to "Give, Take" by Helens78. Fraser and Kowalski are in a kinky relationship, but they always negotiate. In that story, they extensively, hotly negogiate a rape fantasy scene, which then ends up happening and working out quite well.
In this story, they negotiate to play another scene using the characters they role-played before, but things do not go as well. In theme, it takes rather abrupt turn away from the source material.
Helens78 has a general policy of allowing people to engage in textual hijinx with her work, but has not specifically authorized or seen this story.
