Summary
In a Kingdom decimated by losing the war, Felix turns to assassination to eke out a living and exact what revenge he can on the Empire. One of his contracts becomes incredibly complicated when he realizes the target is Sylvain, whom he hasn’t spoken to since Sylvain joined the Black Eagles just before the war. After saving his life instead of killing him, Felix has to confront their shared past as they fight their way through the forest that once tied their lands together.

Summary

Sylvain is cursed to be permanently stuck to the next person he holds hands with. It would be a fitting punishment, if Felix hadn’t given him a hand up after defeating him while sparring.

Summary
Sylvain beat Hubert in a game of chess. From this, Hubert could deduce three things:
1. Sylvain was much more intelligent than he let on.
2. The only reason to hide one’s intelligence like that was to commit nefarious acts.
3. Therefore, Felix and Sylvain were plotting to assassinate Lady Edelgard.What reason could Felix have for buying Bergamot tea if not to poison Lady Edelgard, or for Sylvain purchasing a rare dagger if not to cut her throat? Add to that all the sneaking around the two of them have been doing recently and the suspicious noises coming from their rooms late at night, and he’s certain of his conclusion. Lady Edelgard may not be taking the threat seriously, but Hubert and Ferdinand are on the case.

“Come in,” she called, her voice made throaty by the thick incense smoke that blanketed the room and swirled mysteriously in the dim rays of light escaping from the ornately-shaded lamp. The musical tinkling of the bells on the door was replaced with the clacking of beads as two young men ducked through the curtain covering the doorway to the séance room. The men appeared a study in contrasts, at a glance. The only similarities were the mix of curiosity and skepticism as they entered her salon, the tinge of fear as they took in her smiling visage, and the familiar haunted look that underlaid it all.
“Welcome, my children.” She spoke in a tone on the razor’s edge between sultry and haunting. “What troubles have brought you before Magdalena today?”
The blonde man cleared his throat uncomfortably. “I hear that you can help with…” He paused as he summoned the willpower to speak the words aloud. One of those, then. They were more of a challenge than the ardent believers, but she always succeeded in the end. “… With a ghost problem.”

Summary
Ashe had imagined how he’d confront the greenhouse again. He considered bringing flowers or lighting a candle as a memorial. He debated asking Annette to sing one of the traditional songs of Duscur that Dedue had taught him while they’d tended the plants together. He contemplated making one of the closely-guarded family recipes that Dedue had shared with him, now that there was no family left, and having a silent meal with his memories.
In the end, it wasn’t anything so romantic. There was a war on, and there was an army to feed, and Ashe was the only person at the monastery who knew the first thing about growing vegetables. That was how he found himself standing outside the glass doors, taking deep, grounding breaths as he worked up the courage to open the door.
