Instead of being separated, Aether and Lumine hold on to each other as the cubes of the Unknown God engulf them. Instead of waking up on the very beach they meet Paimon, they wake up in the harsh terrain of Dragonspine. Instead of losing their powers, they only become more powerful as they look for a way out of this world.
How will this affect the plot?

Summary
Aether was exhausted. He had farmed endlessly for many days in order to gather enough resources for his friends. It was difficult for him to get good artifacts and weapons for everyone, but he did everything for them to get stronger. Especially when it came to the process of ascension.
Too bad that none of them seem to understand what he was doing. They don’t even bother to use the materials that he had worked hard to farm for. How disappointing.
Or, Aether is tired of farming for artifacts and his friends just don’t understand what’s going on.

Aether is exhausted and never seems to get a break. All he wants is to get a day off, but then Childe is an idiot and Aether has to try to deal with it, except he kinda gets injured and now everyone is in trouble. Lots of angst LOL.
also the title is from a song i like because im really bad at making titles. it doesnt really work right now but ill uh probably make something with aether admitting he wishes he was dead and stuff and then itll make sense! i thinnk xiao would be like lmao same dont die though *insert the meme where someone is drowning and asking for help and then you high five them and they just drown more*
