Summary
Captain America may have not died with regrets but Steve Rogers sure did. Later, he gets that second chance in the form of a familiar hospital room and a man that was both familiar and unfamiliar at the same time. Only for that same man, not-Howard, to shatter Steve's hope and then seamlessly repair it. Steve didn't expect any less from the future.
Too bad this so called 'future' was too busy yelling out commands in a separate location, working on too little sleep to accept any thanks at the moment.
Or, how Phil changes things for the better. From Steve's first meeting with the 20th century, Lokie's altercation, Phil's survival, Steve grappling with the man's assumed death and eventually, the two ending up together.
