007n7, still in deep despair and self-isolation after the death of his son, c00lkidd. He starves himself and suffers from severe panic attacks. Shedletsky, a compassionate former admin, discovers 007n7's distress and get into his cabin. Understanding tge man grief from his own past loss, Shedletsky comforts him, embracing him until the ex-exploiter falls asleep. While he rests, Shedletsky cleans and bandages 007n7's self-inflicted wounds. 007n7 awakens to find Shedletsky still by his side, feeling a profound sense of peace and gratitude, realizing he isn't entirely alone in his pain.

With limited food and the fire going out the crew is getting desperate, will someone dare do something about it?

007n7 is trying to show himself to others as someone worthy and pays heavily for it, while Guest starts to untangle some of his own pent up emotions. Along the way helping the former hacker get back on his feet. Both are ultimately idiots in love, every sharp edge and imperfection included.

007n7’s mouth stayed shut, and he looked at the ground. Taph wasn't sure if he even knew, how little he knew about him, that he had no idea about his past, but in truth he didn't need to know. He seemed alright, even if he was a little annoying sometimes, did it matter how many people hated him? What good is a reputation anyway, if it can never be repaired.
If 007n7 even knew half the lengths that people have gone to get rid of Taph, if he knew where his paranoia was sourced, he hoped he wouldn't care either.

Summary
The Spectre’s meddling meant that c00lkidd’s vision was “filtered”.
Frowns became smiles, screams became laughs and survivors dying were seen as sleeping.
It even made everyone look friendlier or less monstrous in the child’s eyes, to sell the illusion.But one day, it wondered: What’d happen if it removed that filter without warning?
Then, satisfied by the result, it started experimenting with other things to sate its endless curiosity, as well as its desire for drama and suffering to feed on.
The survivors and killers were in for quite a ride.
