Summary
Kirk is mysteriously injured during a routine survey mission on an uninhabited planet. Left with a deadly toxin in him, Bones races to find a cure, while Spock tries to piece together who injured Kirk and why.
“We searched the area where the Captain was injured and found no signs of other life. The unknown assailant is either very clever at remaining hidden, or has already left the planet," Spock said. "Were there any other marks on the Captain’s body that would indicate a struggle?”
“No," McCoy said.
“You are certain? The Captain is not given to easy surrender.”
