"What do you want him to do?" Drake snapped. "Admit that he's a little bit worried about you because you fucking died?"
Damian was on his feet before he knew what happened. He couldn't breathe for the hate burning in his chest. How dare Drake talk about it. How dare he preach as though he agreed. "I'm surprised you pretend to give a fuck, Drake," he hissed, derision and bitterness dripping from the words. "I...I would have thought you were happy I was gone!"
He didn't think about the words until after they left his mouth, after the Cave was deadly silent and the sentence echoed through the room, hung in the air like smoke. Drake's chest was heaving, but he didn't say a word, and his eyes were so dark that Damian actually took a step back in irrational fear. Abruptly, Drake shoved his chair back with a screech, and left without a word, his footsteps resounding through the cave. Damian watched him go, numb.

It isn’t until he hears one of them telling another that Dr. Thompkins put a rush order on Timothy Drake’s labs that Bruce’s head snaps around faster than his brain can catch up with his ears.
“What did you just say?” He catches one of the interns by the shoulder, yanking her to a stop. “Did you say Timothy Drake?”

Katsuki didn’t even think, he just let the sweat collect in his palms and blasted himself through the air. He tumbled a bit, he hadn’t practiced that move a whole lot yet, but it did what he needed it too. He could hardly find it in himself to care if anyone heard the deafening blast, he had something he needed to do and damn if anything was going to stop him.
This was just some sick joke, right? He hadn’t meant it. This wasn’t real. He’s hallucinating, that’s it.
There were two red sneakers with the toes resting against the lip of the roof, and a piece of paper stuck underneath the heels.

Summary
This one isn't fanfiction. This is my attempt at an age timeline for Batman characters, focussing on the adoption and/or appearance of each of Bruce's children.
This isn't going to work on mobile because of all the pictures, so I guess it's computer view only.
This is a post-crisis timeline (1985-2011), so it stops before the New 52 and everything after that. Here are the events discussed:
1. Bruce's parents die
2. Bruce becomes Batman
3. Dick's parents die
4. Dick becomes Robin
5. Jason becomes Robin and is adopted
6. Jason dies
7. Tim becomes Robin
8. Cass appears
9. Dick is adopted
10. Tim is adopted
11. Cass is adopted
12. Damian becomes Robin
I will be explaining myself to the best of my ability, citing issues, and including panels.
